Etymology[edit]

From a Celtic composite noun *Kaityobrix, from the deuterotheme *brixs (hill) and a prototheme derived from Proto-Celtic *kaito- (wood).[1] Cognate with Portuguese Setúbal, attested as Καιτόβριξ (Kaitóbrix).[2]
