Etymology[edit]

Borrowed from Hungarian Komjátszeg, from Komját +‎ szeg (part), from Slavic, perhaps from a word cognate with Czech komnata (chamber). Compare Slovak Komjatná, Slovak Komjatice, Hungarian Komjáti.
