DPC

  1. (computing) Initialism of deferred procedure call. A software interrupt triggered by the kernel when it detects a "hung" condition deep within a thread or process it is attempting to terminate. In general, this allows the process to complete its work before the impending termination or context switch.
  2. (Hong Kong, law enforcement) Initialism of detective police constable.
  3. (India, law enforcement) Initialism of District Police Chief. A police officer in charge of a police district in the Kerala State Police.
