- (Moerdijk) First attested as hazeldonck in 1338. Compound of Middle Dutch hasel (“hazel, Corylus avellana”) and donk (“sandy hill protruding above a marsh”).
- (Zundert) First attested as apud haseldonck in 1303. Compound of Middle Dutch hasel (“hazel, Corylus avellana”) and donk (“sandy hill protruding above a marsh”).
- (Breda) Named after the hamlet near Zundert.
