From Russian махно́вщина (maxnóvščina) or Ukrainian махно́вщина (maxnóvščyna). Both mean "the thing relating to Makhno", and are equivalent to Махно (Maxno) + -ов (-ov) + -ский (-skij) + -ина (-ina).
