The term came to prominence in North America in the 1970s following the sexual revolution of the 1960s.

Mazola party (plural Mazola parties)

  1. (slang, dated) A social gathering at which people slather themselves in cooking oil (such as Mazola) and participate in sexual activities.
  2. (by extension) Any type of orgy.
  3. (by extension) Any group event that involves slathering in oil, such as bikini-clad oil wrestling.
