Named after the Swedish steel producer and banker Thorsten Nordenfelt, who funded its development.

  1. (firearms, historical) A kind of organ gun having a row of up to twelve barrels, and fired by pulling a lever back and forth, with ammunition fed by gravity through a chute for each barrel.
