Proto-Basque[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Probably native. Alternatively perhaps from Gothic *𐌰𐌹𐌽 𐌷𐌿𐌽𐌳 (*ain hund, literally one hundred). This derivation imposes itself phonetically, but is very problematic insofar as there are no direct borrowings from Gothic into Basque.

Numeral[edit]

*e(h)uN

  1. hundred

Descendants[edit]
