Etymology[edit]
From Proto-Germanic *stullōną, from earlier paradigm *stullōþi ~ *stulunanþi, from pre-Proto-Germanic *stul-nā́-ti ~ *stul-un-ánti, iterative to *stelan (“to steal”).
