@Anglom You added the Brythonic reconstruction here over a year ago. While I have no doubts about its accuracy, I'm curious what kind of development would lead to the form, in particular the cluster -gy-. It looks like the -g- just disappears instead of leniting. —CodeCat 21:41, 21 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

-gj- (or rather -ɣj-) seems to become -j-. This follows a-affection because -gjā becomes > -geā > -gā (PC *wegyā > *wegā > *gweɣ. Strangely this -j- doesn't cause internal i-affection, I'm not really sure why. Anglom (talk) 23:32, 21 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
