From *bi- +‎ *ginnaną, although the latter has no attested descendants.
What about hagunnan from Hebban olla vogala nestas hagunnan? This surely has to be some kind of descendant of the word *ginnaną (probable with another prefix)? Thadh (talk) 17:05, 19 March 2019 (UTC)

Even so, the verb is *a + *ginnan (possibly some variant of modern er-, unstressed ur-/or- and proto-germanic *uz-) which would mean the word ginnaną has a recorded descendant. Thadh (talk) 17:44, 20 March 2019 (UTC)

Shouldn't it then be given next to 𐌳𐌿𐌲𐌹𐌽𐌽𐌰𐌽 in the etymology section? ONW confirms my previous statement that the term derives from *uz + *ginnaną. Thadh (talk) 12:12, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
