Does any dictionary reconstruct this? All descendants have an "-a". I don't see the Old Saxon form in any dictionary, but even if there's a hapax, the normal Middle Low German form is "hülpe", thus also with "-a". Probably the idea is to explain the umlaut. DWB says "hulpijo-", but Philippa simply says "hulpo-". Luxipa (talk) 02:26, 18 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
