Reconstruction talk:Proto-Germanic/kastōną

If it's only attested in Old Norse and there's no clear relation in Indo-European, then what's the basis for reconstruing it as Proto-Germanic? Of course, it could have existed; it could even go back to Indo-European and to the first humans who ever spoke.
