Deleted Celtic from Unsorted formations[edit]

I have deleted the two Celtic words from the Unsorted formations. Firstly, there is no such Scottish Gaelic word as trincos (although Scottish Gaelic trang, Manx throng, Irish Gaelic tranglam are probably derived from English throng, Scots thrang and so are indirectly derived). Secondly Dictionaire de la langue gauloise (Delamarre) and Lexique Étymologique de l’Irlandais Ancien both say that Gaulish drongos, Late Latin drungus, Old Irish drong are related to Germanic druhtiz and derived from PIE root dʰrewgʰ- ‘serve’. LÉIA says, “Il n’y a pas d’emprunt au germanique, comme le pensaient Diefenbach, Feist etc., comparant vha. dringen «presser», angl. throng «troupe».” --Caoimhin (talk) 19:48, 28 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
