It strikes me that Proto-Italic would have had *rēk- with k everywhere in the declension while Proto-Indo-European had ǵ and Classical Latin had g (reg-) most of the time. Is this really possible ? g chanching to k and then back to g ! --anon

While it's theoretically possible, it's much easier to explain the Latin pattern as a *g that was inherited. It looks like a simple error in setting up the inflection template: forgetting to check whether the *ks was from *ks or *gs. I changed it on general principles, but I've tagged it for attention in case there's something I'm not aware of about this specific case. I'll have to see if I can find a reference.
