@Chuterix: All the OJP instances I can find for paya are adverbial. See the NKD entry. Noun senses are also attested, but not until 927. I do not think we can reconstruct Proto-Japonic paya as an adjective — I think "adverb" or "root" might be more appropriate. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 19:09, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
