Loanwords

Where do we stand on loans into other non-Slavic languages? Like a lot of Central Asian languages (Kyrgyz, Turkmen, Uyghur, and Uzbek to just name a few) have borrowed this term from Russian. Borrowing

@Sławobóg: Czech: pivo → Slovene: pívo. Why? I didn't find this in the sources. ɶLerman (talk) 11:13, 6 February 2024 (UTC)

I found that a bit strange too but that is indeed what Marko Snoj's Slovenski etimološki slovar says. Mulder1982 (talk) 11:38, 6 February 2024 (UTC)

KEKW I've looked at the source, and I think this is the right decision:

1. PS *pȋvo (“beverage”) > (obsolete) pívo (“beverage”)
2. Czech: pivo (“beer”) → pívo (“beer”) ~ (obsolete) ọ̑ł (“beer”) < *ȍlъ (“bitter drink; beer”)
