- I don't know what you mean by "reliable" but that's the original or one of the original senses. Serbo-Croatian has changed the meaning. The gloss with "rock" is sufficient, IMO. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 21:15, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
- According to П.Я. Черных elder meaning is "нагромождение (камней), глыба, утёс и т.п.". I guess in Serbo-Croatian meaning simply didn't turn into "(stone) wall" and therefore "wall" is not common Slavic. Actually i just can't find dictionary where is written that Proto-Slavic *stěna mean "wall". —Игорь Телкачь 21:53, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
