Kroonen reconstructs this as *þimistraz, but the Sanskrit and Latin forms both point to forms coming from PIE *temh₁srós, so it could be possible that this should be *þimstraz instead. I don't mind if we choose to move it.

Also, I don't mind us moving the Ingvaeonic forms to *þiustrijaz if the sound changes involved seem contestable. Anglom (talk) 21:54, 12 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Dutch deemster shows open-syllable lengthening and thus requires þimistr. Perhaps forms with and without -i- existed alongside each other. 178.4.151.236 11:21, 30 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
