@Leasnam, Rua I am sceptical that the West Frisian descendant is inherited (I know neither of you added it); Nederlandse woorden wereldwijd has this as a borrowing (stage not specified) and wouldn't an inherited term probably have initial t? ←₰-→ Lingo Bingo Dingo (talk) 17:39, 2 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Lingo Bingo Dingo I would normally agree about the initial t, however Old Frisian already developed a variant with initial d, dus beside thus, which complicates matters a bit Leasnam (talk) 17:47, 2 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Leasnam I see. Are the expected reflexes of stressed uC any help? ←₰-→ Lingo Bingo Dingo (talk) 18:26, 2 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
West Frisian has th > d for some unstressed function words like do and de, similar to the development in the Scandinavian languages. —Rua (mew) 19:01, 2 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
