I should note that common American pronunciations of sahib are /səˈhib/ or /sɑˈhib/ 1, last pronunciation (where /i/ is the GenAm counterpart of rhymewegian /iː/, which we havnt got). I'm not adding it back though because the dictionaries don't seem to prescribe it, but I think it could belong here, with a note to that effect. —Muke Tever 12:34, 28 May 2004 (UTC)Reply
