T-state (plural T-states)

  1. (computing) A single clock pulse of a microprocessor.
    • 2012, Mike Tooley, David Wyatt, Aircraft Digital Electronic and Computer Systems, page 86:
      The execution of a microprocessor instruction involves an M1 cycle comprising four T-states and an M2 cycle requiring five T-states.
