Ukrainian and Russian plural[edit]

Why is it uncountable in Ukrainian? Are forms like "дена" or "багато ден" not legit? Is it possible to find any logical etymology of the Russian "донья"? Tollef Salemann (talk) 13:12, 4 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Tollef Salemann: You're better off asking language questions at WT:TR to be noticed, not on entry talk pages :)
the of дно stem is "reducible" (д(о)н)" and has derivatives with the "дон" stem - донный (adjective), донышко, донце (diminutives).
Plural endings -ья are not uncommon for masculine and neuter nouns: стулья, перья, звенья, крылья, братья, друзья, мужья. Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 01:06, 10 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
