@Calak: I am looking for a Kurdish word of the shape ženin, which means ‘to set fire to’ and ‘to shoot a gun’. Does jenîn have such meanings? --Vahag (talk) 19:51, 25 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Vahagn Petrosyan: We have three verbs cognate with Persian زدن (zadan), زن (zan-): Lua error in Module:parameters at line 95: Parameter 1 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "ku" is not valid. See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E., Lua error in Module:parameters at line 95: Parameter 1 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "ku" is not valid. (NW ž/ǰ, SW z). They don't mean ‘to set fire to’, either in Persian or in Kurdish. In Persian آتش زدن (âtaš zadan, to set fire to), زدن (zadan) is a light verb and doesn't have any semantic role.--Calak (talk) 08:35, 26 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
