@Vahagn Petrosyan, I recorded myself and I devoice the ʒ into ʃ (though it's hard to perceive without a recording). Do you think you devoice too? — This unsigned comment was added by Hovsepig (talkcontribs).

@Hovsepig: I do. I believe it is regular before all aspirated consonants. Compare դժբախտ (džbaxt). I added the rule to the module. It happens for me before many other consonants, such as /p t k χ/, but I am not sure how regular that is. --Vahag (talk) 17:26, 27 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Vahagn Petrosyan whether you like it or not, you’re an Armenian phonologist so whatever your mouth says is gold :p
I am indeed the gold standard for Eastern Armenian, but sometimes I ironically pronounce like a plebeian and then it becomes a habit. For example, I now say սիֆտակ (siftak) and առչաֆկա (aṙčʻafka). --Vahag (talk) 17:45, 27 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Vahagn Petrosyan: I'm surprised you don't deaspirate your ք after ժ. Also, plebeian is better than a faker Hovsepig (talk) 17:47, 27 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
I don't. You can also listen to the EA audio in this Wiktionary entry. He doesn't either. Vahag (talk) 17:53, 27 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
