@Vahagn Petrosyan: This should be cognate with Lua error in Module:parameters at line 95: Parameter 1 should be a valid language, etymology language or family code; the value "OIr." is not valid. See WT:LOL, WT:LOL/E and WT:LOF. *gāri̯a-, see Fritz, Matthias; Klein, Jared; Joseph, Brian, eds. (2017) Handbook of Comparative and Historical Indo-European Linguistics, v. II, page 571.--Calak (talk) 11:33, 6 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Calak, how would a "stone heap" sense be connected? --Vahag (talk) 16:20, 6 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
Compare Yagnobi γirék (clay) (and probably Central Kurdish قوڕ (qurr, mud)) from same root Lua error in Module:parameters at line 95: Parameter 1 should be a valid language, etymology language or family code; the value "OIr." is not valid. See WT:LOL, WT:LOL/E and WT:LOF. *grai̯(a)-(ka)-.--Calak (talk) 22:35, 6 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
From what I understand, *gāri̯a- and *grai̯(a)- are different. The first does not fit with the meaning, the second with phonetics. --Vahag (talk) 13:18, 7 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
