mzāḥ “hawthorns” – ḥummāḍ – ḥambizān – zanbūʿ or zaʿrūr[edit]

@Fenakhay: With all those sound changes described on حَمْبِزَان (ḥambizān) it becomes plausible that مزاح (mzāḥ, hawthorns) is also one and the same word as حُمَّاض (ḥummāḍ); always the pulp of a plant too harsh in taste to be eaten by itself. I would find it difficult to find a form KiLMāN from زَعْرُور (zaʕrūr), but this word does not seem solved either. Georgian ზღმარტლი (zɣmarṭli) has the /m/ again.
