First usage notes[edit]

This article claims that يحيى was first used in the Qur'an but given that the Ginza Rba (http://sidradhiia.blog.ir/2017/09/25/‘niania-and-Qabin-انیانی-و-قابین) uses this spelling in Mandaeic (ࡉࡀࡄࡉࡀ) and that text is dated to to the third century AD at the latest. Wouldn't this usage be prior attestation of this use? Do we have a source for the claim that this originates in the Qur'an? Pari Sarcinator (talk) 02:53, 6 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
