@SodhakSH What would be the appropriate Hindi descendant(s) for this Sanskrit term? According to {{R:CDIAL|kāˊsatē|3135|page=160}} the appropriate Hindi descendant for this Sanskrit verb is खाँसना (khā̃snā), and खाँसी (khā̃sī) is listed under {{R:CDIAL| kāˊsā -- , kāˊs -- , kāˊsikā|3138|page=160}}. The only descendant at {{R:CDIAL|kāˊsatē|14385}} is Md. kassan ʻ to cough ʼ, which is perhaps equivalent to ކެސްސަނީ (kessanī) at {{R:CDIAL|kāˊsatē|3135|page=160}} (script from {{R:dv:Maniku}}).
