alchemical symbol for gold[edit]
the alchemical symbol was just a depiction of the sun, with no specific appearance. see w:Alchemical_symbol for samples of how widely variable the icon for the sun could be. Whereas Unicode just has three ... ☀, ☉, and ☼. Unicode chose the second one as the canonical alchemical symbol, but i'd say that any sun glyph would do, except the ones with faces. —Soap— 04:27, 9 March 2023 (UTC)
