Accuracy of Definition

I don't think the current definition is accurate. I think なんて (in the sense of "How [adjective]" is used almost as frequently to emphasize good qualities and is not necessarily an expression of disgust or the like.

Japanese kokugo dictionaries similarly don't state in their definitions that it's necessarily used in a negative sense, and Googling phrases like なんて美しい or なんて楽しい yields plenty of actual usage examples that clearly aren't expressing contempt.

• The definitions as given are mostly accurate for the なんて that derives from などとて. See the first set of definitions at the Weblio entry for なんて.

The senses you mention above that are not inherently negative are for the なんて that derives from なにと. See the second set of definitions at the Weblio entry for なんて. Those senses should be listed under an additional etymology section explaining the 何て spelling and derivation. I (or another editor) will add that content as time allows.

Re: requires editing, I'm unsure if your comment is in jest, but to clarify, Wiktionary is a wiki -- an entirely volunteer project that anyone can edit. Pretty much *everything* requires editing. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │^{Tala við mig} 16:56, 21 October 2015 (UTC)
