This entry seems at odds with its sibling sugoi. From what I've heard personally, the definition at sugoi seems more accurate. This one seems over the top, like you'd only say this of the Titanic or angels or huge mountains or something. When in reality it seems to be basically a fairly close direct translation of "impressive"/"wow"...

Yea, you took the words right out of my mouth. The meaning is described better in the sugoi entry I think, if you see some awesome stunt on the street or if you see somebody playing the piano really well you'd say "sugoi!", but of course being a beginner I can't really judge..
