@Tooironic Can you please give some circumstances where the sense “study of Chinese history, language and culture; sinology” is used? I don't think I've seen this use before, and it is not in Moedict/Hanyu Da Zidian either. Thanks. Wyang (talk) 07:52, 25 May 2018 (UTC)

- @Tooironic I think they are associated concepts, but not really synonymous. 國粹 is 國家文化的精粹, studied in, and considered to be something that should be preserved through 國學. For example, see 《国学基础》, 《严复对刘师培学术思想及〈国粹学报〉学术宗旨之影响》, 《章太炎、连横民族文化思想之比较》, 《儒学基本常识》, 《流行语折射的流行文化》. Wyang (talk) 23:31, 25 May 2018 (UTC)
