OJP alt form 不盡

@Poketalker, where did you get that alternative form for the OJP entry? I can't find this listed in my references, and it's unexpected considering that the second kanji would be jin, not the anticipated ji.

• Is this correct?
• Is this a common enough alt form to merit listing?
• Is this used in texts that aren't just man'yōgana?

If it's only a man'yōgana style of spelling, I don't think we should include these in "alternative forms" sections. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │^{Tala við mig} 18:01, 29 July 2022 (UTC)

@Eirikr: you be the judge to what I'm going to type. MYS 318: Tago no ura yu uchiidete mireba ma-shiro ni so Fuji no takane ni yuki wa furikeru. The shinjitai of second kanji is 尽; is this one dictionary entry enough? The introduction to the next poem 319 reads 詠不盡山歌一首 (poem composed on Fuji). There wasn't an established spelling of the mountain back then, 318 does appear to be read jin but the next manyogana 能 (no₂) probably dropped the final -n. Either that or single manyogana only depended the initals of Middle Chinese they transliterate their syllables. Do you need more? ～ POKéTalker（═◉═） 18:38, 29 July 2022 (UTC)

• @Poketalker: Thank you! Facepalm moment for me -- the Nihon Kokugo Daijiten entry for 富士 makes no mention at all of the alt spelling, and it never occurred to me to dig into the 富士山 entry.
