I believe the etymology I have written is accurate, based upon what I could scour from the web, but I would like this to reviewed to ensure I have a the correct understanding and have used technically correct verbiage. 馬太阿房 (talk) 09:23, 24 May 2017 (UTC)

Is there a linguistic term for words that are spelled the same as each other and are synonymous with each other but are pronounced completely differently? (Example: 無花果 prounced いちじく and 無花果 prounced むかか both mean "fig"). I don't know if this happens in other languages, but it is very common with gikun usage in Japanese and I don't know if synonymn is the right word. 馬太阿房 (talk) 19:45, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
