Dialect table

@Justinrleung Do you have enough information to create a dialect table for this? We use a different word in Singapore Mandarin from standard Mandarin in China. We call it 漿糊 in Singapore. The dog2 (talk) 17:30, 1 December 2023 (UTC)

@The dog2: Probably, we could make a table for this. I don't think this word is etymologically different from what's currently etymology 1, which is a kind of paste used for gluing. @Justinrleung: Yes, in Singapore the word is a generic term for glue. See [1] for an example. I presumed the character 漿 is used because glue is traditionally a liquid. The dog2 (talk) 23:07, 1 December 2023 (UTC)

@Justinrleung: Most people would pronounce it as jiāng, and that's how I would typically pronounce it growing up, but I'm not sure if that's the standard pronunication, or just a widespread mispronuciation. The dog2 (talk) 23:21, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
