@Mx. Granger I think you are going in the right direction with this edit. I would advise finding some way to remove the quotation marks though- maybe something like: "the name used during one's life, as opposed to a posthumous name". Sounds fine as far as I know, though I'm not very familiar with Japanese either. I know enough to tell that the previous definition was wrong, but not much more than that. w:Japanese name#Historical names may be helpful. —Granger (talk · contribs) 20:15, 18 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
