Why does the character use 车字旁?[edit]

The glyph origin tries to explain the 车 component by writing 'light carriage'.

Phono-semantic compound (形聲形声, OC *kʰeŋ, *kʰeŋs): semantic (carriage) + phonetic (OC *keːŋ)-light carriage.

I think that some clarification needs to be made about what 'light carriage' is trying to say in this context: it's not an attmept to define 轻, it's an attempt to rationalize the semantic component. Here's my rough attempt:

Phono-semantic compound (形聲形声, OC *kʰeŋ, *kʰeŋs): semantic (carriage) + phonetic (OC *keːŋ). Explanation of semantic component: light carriage.
