a search on twitter shows that the shrimp emoji 🍤 can mean "penis" in any context, particularly a small one. just a simple search for the emoji by itself turns up quite a bit of small penis humiliation and related things. it may thus be a coordinate term of the eggplant emoji 🍆, a much larger object and one which may serve to aggrandize its referent just as the shrimp emoji diminishes it. this also goes with the pinching hand emoji 🤏, though i was not able to find much use of that one on twitter the last time i looked. indeed i found more uses of 🤏 with the shrimp search than by searching for the pinch emoji directly. —Soap— 09:48, 21 November 2023 (UTC)

also, it may mean porn, through the phonetic resemblance with prawn. this may be used by people unaware of the other meaning and may actually be more common than it, but in either case i think this is used in different contexts. —Soap— 04:24, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
