Use of hyphen[edit]

The usage note is correct that the hyphen is normal in British English (with just a few exceptions), but Americans don't always omit the hyphen, just more often than the British. This is discussed at Tea Room. Dbfirs 16:17, 26 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

In British English, a hyphen is not "always almost used", there are lots of terms where they're well enough established not to need a hyphen. Or is that just me thinking that? Mglovesfun (talk) 16:19, 26 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
