Do we want this shit? Denazz (talk) 20:33, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
- I don't think it's "English"... Equinox ◑ 20:34, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
- At first I thought asteroids were not listed at WT:CFI#Celestial objects, which would mean that a figurative-use requirement applies. However, apparently asteroids are minor planets, which are in the list.
- I'm inclined to say we should explicitly add "asteroids" next to "minor planets" at WT:CFI#Celestial objects for the benefit of astronoobs like me.
- Having said all that, the rule specifically says we include "Proper names of planets, minor planets, and moons (excluding associated numbers)". So this entry should be deleted, and we have to keep the sense at Liszt (though it should be moved to Translingual). This, that and the other (talk) 04:45, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
- Delete in accordance with CFI. — Sgconlaw (talk) 11:20, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
- I think we can delete them all as unnecessary bumph, but keep the synonyms listed at Liszt as red links. DonnanZ (talk) 13:07, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
- I would suggest just not linking the synonyms, or putting them unlinked into a usage note instead. Making them red links will just prompt people to re-create the entries. — Sgconlaw (talk) 15:40, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
- I don't believe these are all distinct synonyms or alternative names for this asteroid. They just seem to be different permutations or arrangements of the components of two of its formal names: "1988 SF" and "3910 Liszt". We can just give these official/technical names in the sense line. This, that and the other (talk) 02:03, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
- We should keep only the official forms. As to which these are, I have no idea. — Sgconlaw (talk) 10:38, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
