EDIT - the definition stated that it traces origins to the bible AND the teachings of jesus christ. THis has two major flaws. Firstly, all the mythical stories that claim to contain teachings of this person are NOT used by christianity - only the ones that were voted on by the then catholic church to remain IN the bible are the ones used. Secondly, since they are in the bible, it is redundant to say AND these teachings, since they're already mentioned.

This is nonsense. The Catholic and Orthodox churches are built on the whole tradition of the original Church, the Bible being just a part --- though the most important -- of this tradition. Your comment is just as "Protestantocentric" as the earlier definition, which I had already changed before having read your comment. Kolmiel (talk) 11:40, 10 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
