Gilead seems fine. Extrapolating, I imagined "Gileadean" would mean "oppressive, esp. relating to reproductive rights". However, sources only support "relating to the fictional country of Gilead".
As an aside, it feels like there's an absurd amount of "social studies researchers" writing their dissertations based on fictional stories instead of the actual social reality they exist in.__Gamren (talk) 13:30, 21 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Which sense of Gileadean are you requesting for verification, the one listed and cited, or the one you're suggesting is missing? DAVilla 22:09, 21 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Closed: already has a definition and matching citations, as acknowledged. —Suzukaze-c (talk) 02:10, 22 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Not closed. The only sense that is cited is specific to a fictional universe. Only a generic sense meets CFI. Kiwima (talk) 23:48, 24 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

A side note: this word is used towards the very end of The Handmaid's Tale itself. Equinox 02:11, 27 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
