Is it really "always"? Compare e.g. with "Italien" which is usually used without definite article (Italien, in Italien). The genitive of this can be "Italiens" but also "Italien" as in "[something] des schönen Italien". It's more complicated to find something like *"des schönen Jemen" together with "[no article] Jemen" or "in Jemen", but there should be no doubt that the statement is wrong or at least misleading. -84.161.44.35 23:00, 4 November 2017 (UTC)
