There were two kinds of Khan[edit]

Kan means "King"... and Kagan means "King of Kings" ("Emperor"). / Kan (in Old Turkic) became "Han" (in Turkish). Kagan (in Old Turkic) became "Kağan" (in Turkish)and "Hakan" (in Persian > and in Turkish again) / In English, "Khan" means both of them (Kan and Kagan). Böri (talk) 13:14, 14 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
