Talk:Loki

There was belief on this Wiktionary page that the term Loki was descendant from Proto-Germanic *lugô where they quoted meant "fire, blazing", this was false the word Proto-Germanic *lugô means "liar, deceiver" which has been corrected, the misunderstanding I believe they gained from Old Norse logi which did mean "fire, blazing" but this meaning was new to Old Norse's linguistical evolution and the deity Loki supposedly predates the Old Norse language and the Norse mythology as a whole as part of the Germanic mythologies so his name would too.
