The creator has cited this. I think you will find three durable uses among the uses in ephemeral fora if you combine senses. Somebody should check how many uses attributed to books are in the book itself and how many are in less durable advertising copy. Vox Sciurorum (talk) 20:31, 13 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
The creator has tried to cite this. Proper noun needs to meet fictional universe standards. Common noun, presumably Lovecraft country, is probably SoP, an example of attributive use of a proper noun. We don't usually have terms like Vermont fall. DCDuring (talk) 18:17, 20 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
AFAICT, the citations don't really match the definitions (not just lack of capitalization, but meaning). And 'durability' of archiving is in question with many. DCDuring (talk) 18:23, 20 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
It needs cleaning up, but, if it's SoP, why bother? Start by determining whether the cites meet WT:FICTION for the proper noun. DCDuring (talk) 18:25, 20 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

I have reduced this to two entries - one for the fictional location populated by Lovecraftian horrors and one for real New England locales seen as the location of creepy eeriness. (The original page separated the fictional locations described by Lovecraft himself from those described by other authors -- a sure formula to get us into trouble with WT:FICTION.) I believe the fictional location does meet WT:FICTION, in that it has transcended Lovecraft, and is the setting for works by other authors, for games, and even for a TV series. (The TV series and the Novel of this name made searching quite difficult). I moved the citations that were not durably archived or that were mere mentions to the citations page, but there is still enough to call this cited. Kiwima (talk) 23:48, 13 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
