Pronunciation[edit]

I'm not comfortable adding it, but I get the impression it's pronounced like mist, /mɪst/.--Prosfilaes (talk) 14:45, 1 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Is it ever pronounced? Should we have a template for words not normally spoken or having no recognized pronunciation? Should we simply not have a pronunciation section without explanation?
This seems to me to be just another instance of the lack of factual basis for many of our pronunciations. DCDuring TALK 15:04, 1 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
It's not another instance of one of our pronunciations lacking a factual basis because it's not one of our pronunciations; it's a talk page comment.
Of course it's pronounced. There's a lot of conventions where people get together and talk about stuff like this, and there's lots of videos put up on Youtube. Given that the show that gave its name to MSTing was an audio-visual production, it's likely that a lot of the MSTings are also audio-visual and might mention what they're doing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbSw7Abnujo has the word about 20 seconds in, but in German. On a quick search, I couldn't find an English language audio usage in a quick search on Youtube, but everyone and their brother points out it's also spelled MiST, and w:MSTing gives pronunciations; M-S-T for this one and the mist for the other one, but I doubt that pronunciation follows spelling much.--Prosfilaes (talk) 16:42, 1 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
