Trivia[edit]

  • According to Google Groups, apparently first used on Usenet on October 23, 1989 [1]
Micro$oft implying greedy business practises. Appears as a headword in many articles, but the articles themselves, while ranting about Microsoft and (pause to geneuflect) Bill, do not support the definition. Moved to WT:LOP & deleted. Andrew massyn 18:37, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not a unique word, replacing 's' with '$' is a standalone practice not specific to this word and this usage is described at $#Letter. – Nixinova [‌T|C] 00:19, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Keep This is not how we handle English at Wiktionary. Microsoftian not a unique modification, and has exactly the meaning expected from Microsoft + -ian. It still has an entry, along with thousands of other prefixed or suffixed or regularly conjugated words. Besides which, it's not unique, but it's not that common.--Prosfilaes (talk) 08:30, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This poor argument would have us delete naïve as well. Obvious keep as attested. DAVilla 03:12, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Keep. Not every dollar sign can replace in a word, but this word is significant. --Octahedron80 (talk) 00:39, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
