The word "Philippine" is the demonym of the Philippines, therefore it also refers to people. i.e. Philippine-American War--The Warrior Philosopher (talk) 06:51, 28 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

The Philippine-American war was between nations, not people. I think the usage note makes a valid point: the word is used mostly when referring to abstract things, not to individuals. You don't say "I was just talking to a Philippine guy the other day". You can refer to things made up of people (Philippine society, the Philippine nation, etc.), but you normally don't refer to the people themselves that way. At any rate, your edit to the usage note just changed a word or two in a clause that was only there to make the point you removed, which didn't realy work- so I reverted it.
